Atlantic Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a physician. The role supports a multidisciplinary team to keep practice operations efficient and patient care of the highest quality.

Responsibilities include patient intake, vital signs, specimen collection, exam assistance, and medical records management. EPIC EMR proficiency and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT.
• Precertification agreement must be signed if expired or certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Handles patient intake, updates medical records, and administers screening tools.
• Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision.
• Assists with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits, and records clinical data per quality standards.
• Guides patients through the health care system and helps scheduling appointments.
• Maintains medical records and sanitizes patient rooms between visits.
• Prepares examination rooms and stock supplies; supports referrals to specialists.
