Job summary

AdventHealth Oviedo is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations, prepare patients and equipment for treatments, and document results in the practice’s designated system. You will help maintain safety, patient confidentiality, and an efficient office flow during busy day shifts. Requirements include High School diploma, Basic Life Support (BLS), and CMA/CMAC/RMA or equivalent certification.

1+ year of related experience is preferred. Full-time, Day shift, Oviedo, FL 32765.

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology

• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems

Responsibilities

• Support clinic operations and patient flow
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment
• Document results in the practice’s system
• Maintain OSHA compliance and safety policies
• Provide comprehensive care during office visits ( intake, tests, labs, medications) and close care gaps
• Maintain confidentiality of staff and patient information
• Assist with minor procedures and accurate documentation
• Educate patients regarding tests, medications, and diet
• Monitor inventory and ensure supplies and equipment are functional
