Right at Home Galveston is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes across Galveston and surrounding areas. We offer full-time, part-time, and flexible shifts to fit your schedule, with emphasis on safety, dignity, and meaningful, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a caregiving facility or home care role.
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; English proficiency required.
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift/move over 50 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Must pass background check and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with clients through companionship and conversations.
• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility and transfers using assistive devices.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals with feeding assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a tidy living environment.
• Provide medication reminders as prescribed.
• Transport or accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Encourage participation in meaningful activities and client well-being.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and report changes in client health or needs.

Job Description

As a caregiver, you will assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, companionship, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Right at Home Galveston serves Galveston, Texas City, LaMarque, Hitchcock, Santa Fe, Alvin, League CIty, Seabrook, San Leon, Webster, Friendswood, Pearland, parts of South Houston and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with clients through companionship and engaging conversations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required. Relevant certifications or training are strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year in a caregiving facility or home care role.

• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; English proficiency required.

• Reliable, compassionate, and patient, with a strong work ethic.

• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving over 50 pounds and assisting with mobility.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation in order to consistently report to scheduled shifts.

• Must pass a background check and any other relevant screenings.
