Job summary

Home Instead is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team in Berkeley. As a caregiver, you will build meaningful relationships with clients through companionship and dedicated support, ensuring high-quality care in daily activities and personal needs.

You will use our caregiver app for scheduling, updates, and earnings tracking, while receiving ongoing training, benefits where eligible, and a path for professional growth within a supportive office network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months paid professional caregiving experience (non-family) or be a CNA, HHA, LVN/LPN, or RN.
• Willing and able to work at least two weekly shifts with the same client(s) to provide consistent care and build strong relationships.
• Have basic English speaking, reading, and writing abilities (Bilingual or multilingual individuals are encouraged to apply).
• Complete any necessary compliance, license, or registration requirements.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with clients through companionship and compassionate caregiving.
• Assist with meal preparation and perform light housekeeping duties.
• Provide personal care services, including assistance with grooming, bathing, restroom use, and managing incontinence.

Skills

Caregiving experience (non-family)

Basic English proficiency

Education
