Job summary

Lakeside Place Senior Living is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care for residents in long-term or rehabilitative care settings. You will perform personal care, assist with daily routines, and support care plans under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, nursing assistant certification, CPR/First Aid, and experience with the elderly. English literacy is essential. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
Previous Nursing Assistant experience or student nurse preferred.
Completion of certification program for Nursing Assistants preferred.
Experience working with the elderly is desirable.
Must be able to read, speak and write the English language.
Must be certified in CPR, first aid training and documentation of Personal Hygiene training with nurse instructor.

Responsibilities

Assists the resident in daily routines, personal care and housekeeping tasks as needed.
Reports observations and other pertinent information related to the resident care.
Provides services that support the care delivered to residents and reviews care plans for changes.
Contributes to standards of care formulation and evaluation.
Participates in identifying staff educational needs.
Maintains professional conduct per facility policies.
Surveys for safety and manages daily room upkeep including linens.
Assists with Activity Participation and documents resident participation.
Ensures call lights are answered and requests addressed.
Assists with dietary responsibilities, including serving meals and cleaning dining areas.
Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director.
