Job summary

HomeWell Care Services PA295 in Philadelphia seeks compassionate Caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home care, fostering one-on-one relationships with seniors who wish to age in place at home.

You will assist clients recovering from brief hospital stays and help with daily activities, with duties ranging from companionship to light housekeeping and mobility support.

Qualifications

  • CNA or HHA license preferred.
  • 12 months of full-time care or 24 months part-time care for geriatric or chronically ill clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

We are looking for compassionate Caregivers to be part of our team and join us in our mission of enhancing seniors’ lives, one day at a time. You will work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. You will also assist others recovering from a brief hospital stay, short procedures, minor surgeries and more to recover comfortably in their homes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Companionship
  • Light cooking and cleaning
  • Bathing, grooming and toileting
  • Assistance with ambulation and medication reminders
  • Transportation for appointments and errands

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CNA or HHA license preferred or 12 months of full-time work or 24 months of part-time work caring for geriatric or chronically ill persons
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Proof of current TB testing
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
  • Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable
  • Pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state via PATCH)
