Job summary

Gravitas is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers to join our day shift team in our assisted living community in Wickliffe, Ohio. Caregivers support residents with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meal service, and provide companionship, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, comfortable living environments for seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous caregiving experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care preferred.
• CNA certification (if required by state) or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of basic caregiving and safety practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide support with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Assist with meal service, feeding, and hydration as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and interdisciplinary team members.
