Job summary

Senior Helpers of Central West Hartford is seeking an experienced caregiver to provide compassionate, in-home care for a client in AVON, CT. This position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to support seniors in maintaining independence at home.

The caregiver will assist with activities of daily living, provide companionship, and help with mobility and transportation as needed. Training and PPE are provided, with paths for professional certification.

Qualifications

• Previous professional caregiving experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and provide companionship.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage in conversation with clients.
• Assist with hobbies, games, and activities.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Stand-by assistance with walking and mobility.
• Meal planning and light meal preparation.
• Grocery shopping and errands as needed.
