Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking compassionate caregivers in Dayton, OH to support clients at home. The role involves assisting with prescribed medications, helping with mobility, and providing personal care and hygiene.

You will also help with light cooking, shopping, and light housekeeping, while coordinating with nurses and family members to ensure care plans are followed. We value reliability, empathy, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Must be physically able to perform caregiving tasks.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with dietary awareness.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other exercises.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
