Visiting Angels Topeka is seeking a Patient Care Assistant - PCA to join our caregiving team in Topeka and surrounding areas. We offer care services to clients in the local community with a focus on compassionate, personalized support.

The PCA role includes companionship, daily living assistance, light housekeeping, and transportation for appointments, with opportunities for day, night, and weekend shifts. We value dedication, communication, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful and compassionate.
• Good time management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current/Valid Drivers License.
• Car with current Auto Insurance (Sometimes this job requires you to transport clients in your car.)

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide transportation for medical appointments and other activities.
• Monitor client's health status and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow safety protocols when providing care.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families.
