Job summary

SVNA Home Assistance in Torrington, CT is seeking an Experienced Caregiver to provide companionship, personal care, and daily living assistance in clients’ homes. You will assist with transfers, bathing, dressing, grooming, and light housekeeping while promoting safety and dignity.

The role requires empathy, reliable communication with clients and families, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experienced Caregiver with a strong track record of providing exceptional care to individuals in their homes.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move clients as needed (Hoyer trained).
• Comfortable helping with client transfers, personal care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship, and more.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays (PTO offered to those who can work at least 25 hours per week and fit weekend requirement).

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and daily living assistance to clients, including transfers, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Managing medication reminders and other daily routines.
• Offering companionship and social support to clients.
• Assisting with light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients.
• Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
