Job summary

Visiting Angels Montgomery, AL is seeking dedicated caregivers to support seniors in Central Alabama. You will provide compassionate companionship, assist with daily activities, mobility, and transportation, and help with light housekeeping and meal prep.

Advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is available to help you grow your skills while making a meaningful impact in Montgomery and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Compassionate caregiver with ability to assist with daily living.
• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care.
• Medication reminders and basic healthcare tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable time management and organization.
• Respectful, patient, and ethical approach.
• Understanding of dietary needs and meal prep.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop; perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
