Job summary

White Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lawton, MI seeks a caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, meal service, and companionship. You will help with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and mobility, while promoting independence and dignity.

This on-site role requires compassion, reliability, and teamwork. You will interact with residents, families, and staff, follow policies, assist with housekeeping and laundry, and report changes in health to supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; effectively present information to customers, clients, and staff.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene.
• Interacts with residents at all levels of care with empathy, kindness, and respect.
• Observes and reports to supervisor daily; addresses changes in health or wellbeing.
• Serves and assists residents in dining rooms at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Participates in leisure activities and assists with daily housekeeping as needed.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment; follows safety policies and procedures.

Education
