Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Braintree Mews Care Home in Braintree. You will join a team focused on delivering high-quality personal care to residents and supporting their independence with compassion and respect.

No prior experience is required as we provide a thorough induction and training programme to build confidence in your role. You will work as part of a caring, supportive team with a shared commitment to exceptional care.

Qualifications

Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and staff.
Be an efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from team members.
Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Assist residents in all personal hygiene care to promote independence, dignity and respect.
Recognise and understand clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection.
Act courteously towards residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality of each resident.
Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
