Job summary

Avery Healthcare's Braintree Mews Care Home is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our team and deliver high standards of personal care to residents.

You will work with the care team to ensure continuity of services, support residents with hygiene, dignity and independence, and respond to needs with empathy and respect. Full induction will be provided, with a DBS disclosure required and a commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and others in the home.
• Be an efficient worker able to follow reasonable instructions from team members.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene to support independence, dignity and respect at all times.
• Recognise and escalate clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls or infections in a timely manner.
