Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a Direct Support Professional in the United States. The role supports seniors and people with disabilities at home, with entry-level responsibilities and flexible hours.

You’ll follow care plans, observe changes, transport clients, assist with daily living tasks, and contribute to a compassionate care team. The position offers the chance to learn the fundamentals of quality home care while earning hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of in-home care experience.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• Able to work with limited supervision; good communication.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Observe and report changes in member condition.
• Assist with self-administration of medications (no dosing).
• Transport member to appointments and errands.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing).

Skills

In-home care experience
