Job summary
Visiting Angels Waco is a leading non-medical home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults live safely and independently at home. We are seeking a Patient Care Aide - PCA with weekday and weekend availability to build a flexible schedule, minimum 20 hours/week, and travel to clients in Waco and surrounding areas.
Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of hands-on elder caregiving, reliable transportation, and must be 18+ with a clean background.
Qualifications
- Must have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be 18 years or older
- Successful completion of a Criminal History check
- Professional references
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care)
- Medication reminders
- Monitoring and safety supervision
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry, errands and shopping
- Ambulation/mobility assistance including lifting 50lbs+
- Provide supportive companionship
- Respond quickly in emergencies
- Transportation to and from appointments
