Parma Care Center is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe, timely transport for residents to medical appointments, social outings, and activities. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and compassionate service.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with boarding, maintaining vehicles, adhering to policies, and coordinating with staff. Candidates should have driving experience, clear background checks, and relevant certifications to support resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of two years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record (no more than 5 points).
• Clear criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• CPR and First Aid certification (AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI) is preferred.
• Successful completion of a physician-conducted medical exam including vision and physical capability.
• Completion of a Passenger Assistance Course.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a facility vehicle to transport residents to and from scheduled destinations.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those with mobility challenges.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle; report maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all traffic laws and facility transportation policies.
• Plan and follow efficient driving routes to maintain punctuality.
• Communicate with facility staff to coordinate transportation schedules.
• Maintain accurate records for billing and documentation.
• Provide a friendly, respectful, and supportive presence for all residents.
