Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Permian Basin seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support nursing staff and maintain a therapeutic milieu through assigned patient care tasks. The role requires adherence to safety, infection control, and de-escalation procedures while documenting observations and patient data.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification or six months of bedside experience, and be prepared to complete BLS and Oceans' de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor unit rules and maintain therapeutic milieu.
• Employ de-escalation and therapy interventions as needed.
• Inventory patient belongings and secure contraband; perform safety checks.
• Follow infection control policies and attend required trainings.
• Assist with patient care tasks and communicate findings to nurses.
