Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience strongly desired.
• National certification preferred.
• BSN preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and ongoing education are required.
• Must be self-starter who works well independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to up-to-date evidence-based research, policies, and standards to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; collect data across physiologic, psychological, and cognitive domains.
• Coordinate patient care and communication among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Provide patient/family education and document care plans and outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical decision-making, critical thinking, and timely responses to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education as required by facility accreditation and licensing requirements.
