Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Knightdale, NC. You will drive a company vehicle, safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and hospital supplies while using a handheld scanner to track items along the transportation cycle.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with a focus on safety, professional client interactions, and reliable on-time deliveries. Training and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19+ with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and scanning devices.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between points.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle in varying conditions.
• Excellent driving history is required.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof may be required by location.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and supplies.
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through transport.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items with appropriate equipment.
• Maintain safe driving behavior and vehicle condition.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and keep vehicle clean.
• Route assignments vary by client needs and may change.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adapt with teammates and clients.
• Support a collaborative MedSpeed culture.
