Job summary

UC Group is seeking experienced OTR Company Drivers to run consistent lanes across the Eastern half of the U.S. Drivers should be comfortable staying out for 2 weeks at a time and have strong time management for HOS planning and communication.

Expected weekly mileage is 2,500–3,000 with pay details including per-mile rates and bonuses. Home time is typically 2–3 days after 2–3 weeks out, and freight is largely no-touch dry van with 80% dedicated accounts.

Position Overview

UC Group is hiring experienced and motivated OTR Company Drivers to run consistent lanes throughout the Eastern half of the U.S. We're looking for professionals who are flexible, efficient, and committed to putting in the miles. If you're ready to earn competitive pay, work with a reliable logistics partner, and operate late-model equipment, this role is for you.

Drivers must be comfortable staying out for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time and must have strong time management skills for Hours of Service (HOS) planning and communication. Positions are limited and location-dependent.

What will you be responsible for?

• Running 2,500-3,000 miles per week across the Eastern U.S. (East of I-35)
• Following trip plans and proactively communicating with dispatch
• Operating out of key hiring zones (see below), with preference for drivers who can park at or near UC terminals
• Managing HOS efficiently to hit daily targets of 550+ miles
• Starting early or finishing late when needed to maintain schedule flexibility

Pay

SOLO OTR COMPANY DRIVERS - Strong Weekly Pay, Reliable Miles

$1,625-$1,775/week average gross | $82,000/year driver average | Top earners $95,000+

• $0.65 CPM base - all miles, empty & loaded
• +$0.05 CPM monthly safety and operations bonus
• +$0.01 CPM monthly fuel efficiency bonus
• = up to $0.71 CPM all miles
• 2,500+ miles/week
• Weekly pay, direct deposit

Extra Pay

• $35 per extra stop
• Detention: $25/hr after 2 hours (up to $200)
• Layover & breakdown pay: $200/day
• Working holidays: +$50

Home Time

• Out 2-3 weeks, home 2-3 days
• Home time scheduled up front - not "when freight allows"

Freight

• 80% dedicated accounts - steady, predictable miles year-round
• 100% no-touch dry van
• 80% drop & hook

Equipment

• 2023 & newer Freightliner, Volvo, International & Peterbilt
• APUs/bunk heaters, inverters, refrigerators
• Automatics, governed at 65-67 mph
• Samsara ELD, PrePass, fuel cards (Pilot, Flying J, Love's)

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 12 months verifiable OTR experience
