Universal Dedicated of Detroit is seeking reliable CDL-A drivers for local shuttle routes based in Detroit, MI. This is a union position with steady freight, daily home time, and home daily schedule.

Position offers 8–9 hour workdays, with overtime after 40 hours and seniority-based route bidding every 6 months. Responsibilities include safe transport, pre/post-trip inspections, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
• DOT requirements knowledge and ability to meet DOT requirements.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Safely transport materials between terminal and customer locations.
• Follow delivery schedules based on customer production needs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance at all times.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations teams.
