Job summary

Athena Care at Home in West Hartford is seeking Companion IIs to assist clients at home with daily activities and nonmedical care. The role requires a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle, with mileage reimbursed, and offers weekly pay at $17/hour for a on-the-road position.

Responsibilities include ADL support, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, emotional support, meal prep, and reporting changes to the team.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Active driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Access to a working telephone for communication.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Demonstrate the ability to make appropriate professional judgments.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Application and maintenance of prosthetics and orthotics.
• Report any changes in the client's status to appropriate team members.

Weekly pay at $17 an hour.We are looking for someone to work Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday. This on-the-road position requires the candidate to have an active driver's license and an insured vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed.

This position provides supervision of safety and assistance with activities of daily living to clients in their home. You provide nonmedical personalcare to support clients.

Education:

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
