Role Description the Companion/Homemaker role is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. In this role, the Companion/Homemaker provides social interaction, conversation, and engagement to clients in their homes. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and organizing household tasks. The Companion/Homemaker also helps with errands, accompanies clients to appointments or social activities, and provides transportation assistance as needed. Additional duties include offering reminders for medications (without administering them), observing and reporting changes in clients' conditions, and supporting a safe, comfortable living environment. The role requires consistent reliability, respect for client privacy and dignity, and collaboration with the company's care team.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide compassionate companionship, including conversation, social engagement, and emotional support.
• Skills in homemaker tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, basic meal preparation, and household organization.
• Capability to assist with errands, appointment accompaniment, and transportation support in a safe and timely manner.
• Strong observation and communication skills to note changes in client behavior or condition and report to supervisors.
• Reliable time management, punctuality, and the ability to follow care plans and company policies.
