Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Companion Caregiver to provide in-home services to patients/clients in their residences in San Francisco, CA. The hourly pay range is $20.34–$21.50, with weekly paychecks and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include social engagement, mild exercise support, medication reminders, safety supervision during daily activities, grocery assistance, and light housekeeping. Requirements include being at least 18, strong communication, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information via strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Computer proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides socialization and encourages a mild exercise program.
• Encourages medication adherence through timely reminders.
• Supervises safety during bathing, toileting and dressing.
• Assists with grocery shopping and light housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary.
• Arrives at client’s home on time and completes shift as scheduled.
• Follows infection control procedures including universal precautions.

Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a Companion Caregiver to provide services to patients/clients in their places of residence.

Responsibilities:

• Provides “hands off” care such as:
  • Providing and encouraging socialization
  • Encouraging a mild exercise program
  • Encouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
  • Supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
• Arrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
• Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner
• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred
• Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred
• Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Computer proficiency required
