Job summary

ALERT SHACK LLC is seeking a compassionate Companion Caregiver to join our team in Rancho Cordova, CA. You will assist seniors and people with disabilities with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, and light housekeeping while providing companionship and ensuring a safe living environment.

Ideal candidates are patient, reliable, and capable of managing medication reminders, meal preparation, and basic household tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have own transportation and a driver's license to travel to client homes.
• Previous caregiver/home health aide experience preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification is required.
• Basic housekeeping and cooking knowledge is expected.
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle pets if present.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage clients with conversation.
• Assist with personal hygiene and dressing as needed.
• Support mobility, walking, and light chair exercises.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and errand support.
• Provide medication reminders and ensure safety.
• Educate family members on safe care techniques.
