Job Summary

We are seeking a Companion Caregiver to join our team! In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with cooking, light housekeeping, errands, medical appointments, picking up medication, and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.

Responsibilities:

1. Providing companionship and conversation
2. Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
3. Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
4. Prepare meals and snacks
5. Light housekeeping activities
6. Doctor appointments and picking up medication
7. Assist with errands and shopping
8. Educating family members on safe care techniques

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred
2. First aid and CPR certified
3. Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
4. Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
