Job summary

Gentle Home Care is seeking a caring and dependable caregiver to support an individual with daily living activities, community outings, and household tasks in Gainesville, FL. The role emphasizes encouraging independence and active participation in activities the client enjoys.

The position involves 20 hours per week with a schedule spread across Monday through Friday, including mornings and afternoons. Training and certifications may be required, and a reliable vehicle with insurance is needed

Qualifications

• Background screening Level 2 required or willing to obtain.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle to transport the client.
• Must maintain valid vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide assistance with shopping, errands, and safe community access.
• Transport and accompany the client to the gym and community activities.
• Provide guidance with household cleaning and laundry.
• Encourage participation in arts and crafts and other enjoyable activities.
• Promote independence, safety, and community involvement.

Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• 20 hours per week
