Visiting Angels Bryan is hiring a Companion Caregiver to support our elderly clients in Central Texas, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for growth. This role covers in-home and facility visits across Brenham and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities include helping with personal care, light housekeeping, meal planning, mobility support, and prompting medication times. We seek compassionate individuals with reliable transportation and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

A Visiting Angels Companion Caregiver wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

While no two client visits look exactly alike, responsibilities may include:

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right timesHelping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

A Companion Caregiver must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.
