Job summary

Association of Village Council Presidents (AVCP) in Bethel, AK, seeks Workforce & Benefits Navigators to help Tribal members identify AVCP benefits and workforce services, assist with TANF/GA case management, and guide clients through applications. You will gather data, create reports, and coordinate with tribal councils and local partners to advance workforce development in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.

Qualifications

The candidate must have strong computer skills and be proficient with common office software.
Bilingual Yup’ik and English is preferred to support community members.
Strong administrative skills and ability to organize documentation and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

Provide case management for TANF, 477, and GA clients, including planning and progress reviews.
Assist clients in meeting GED goals, educational opportunities, and scholarship searches.
Enter data and prepare monthly activity reports for stakeholders.
Collaborate with Benefits Technicians to verify eligibility and document progress.
Conduct six-month and annual reviews of client progress and eligibility.
Assist with client interviews, assessments, and documentation collection.
Notify clients of education and training opportunities as they arise.
Maintain an organized, confidential Workforce Development Office.
Communicate regularly with Bethel supervisor and regional staff.
