Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks a health education professional to lead and evaluate health promotion programs across Southeast Alaska. You will collaborate with Primary Care and external partners to connect residents with essential health education resources and services.

The role requires four years of related experience, an associate or bachelor’s degree as applicable, and the ability to travel to remote locations, including by small plane.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible health promotion experience.
• Associates degree may be exchanged for two years of experience; Bachelor's degree may be exchanged for four years.
• Health training education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers and evaluates health education strategies, interventions, and programs.
• Analyzes and integrates SEARHC health education with Primary Care and partners.
• Connect people to health services and educational materials they need.
• Advocates for health and education goals based on current and future needs.
• Provides accurate and timely reports as required.
• Uses various communication methods to influence health policy.
• Assists with annual budget management.
• Produces cohesive project reports.
• Assesses community health education needs.
