Job summary

Westminster Oaks seeks a dedicated fitness professional to support the Wellness Department. Under supervision of the Fitness Coordinator, you will lead classes, assist with program development, and help residents stay active across land-based and aquatic options.

You'll ensure equipment is safe, log monthly data, support health screening, and participate in community wellness initiatives, contributing to a nurturing, inclusive fitness environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in fitness/health/wellness field experience required.
• Experience in land-based and aquatics based exercises and instruction of various exercise equipment.
• CPR, certified lifeguard, aquatics exercise certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fitness duties under the supervision of the Fitness Coordinator.
• Responsible for strategic planning and operations of the Wellness Dept by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
• Inspect and verify that fitness equipment is operating in optimal conditions and that residents/employees are properly operating the fitness equipment.
• Conduct fitness classes following the schedule established by the Fitness Coordinator. Assist with preparation of Fitness Classes and seminars.
• Personal training class instruction based on schedule. Includes Balance and Core individual training.
• Enter monthly fitness data and membership information into the fitness system.
• Assist with Senior Fitness Testing and the completion of Physician Consent.
• Assist with the implementation of local Wellness Programs for the community.
