Job summary

Lead For America, via the American Connection Corps (ACC) AmeriCorps program, seeks an ACC Member to serve at the Spring Green Community Library. The role focuses on providing tech help to the public, supporting staff, and coordinating a community tech-inclusion project throughout the service year.

You will gain hands-on experience, develop in-demand skills, and contribute to digital inclusion while serving a community during a full-time term from Sept 2026 to Aug 2027.

Qualifications

• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 17 years of age or older by start of service.
• Have not already served four (4) or more AmeriCorps State/National terms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training sessions for individuals and small groups.
• Staff drop-in technology help sessions under supervision.
• Conduct one-on-one technology help appointments.
• Assist with project plans, timelines, and sustainability planning.
• Recruit interested community members to the project team.
• Engage with libraries, schools, nonprofits, and local agencies to extend services.
• Identify community needs and provide feedback to inform program development.
• Track service activities and data for evaluation and reporting.
