Job summary

My Life My Home in Illinois is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to passionately support residents in their home. DSPs help with daily activities, personal care, meals, and documenting each care plan.

The role includes evenings (PT), shifts around 3pm-11pm, with some Saturdays, and requires a valid driver's license, HS diploma or GED, and background checks. Starting pay is $19.05 to $21.05 per hour, with a $1 raise after medication pass certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver's license with less than 3 driving offenses.
• A High School diploma or GED is required and must provide proof.
• A criminal background check and physical are required.
• DCFS/CANTS abuse/neglect check for children is included.
• Reading and comprehension quiz must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to individuals in their home and daily activities.
• Assist with meals, personal hygiene, grooming, and house cleaning.
• Support each care plan and complete daily documentation.
• Participate in the Direct Support Professional Career Training Program if not yet certified.

The individuals who reside at the CILAs are provided daily supports from a team of dedicated Direct Support Professionals, this may include personal care, cooking and assistance with meals, personal hygiene and grooming, cleaning inside their home, supporting each care plan and daily documentation.
