Job summary

KenCrest is seeking Community Support Workers to empower individuals they support to live independently and participate fully in their communities where they live and work. Located in Montgomery and Bucks Counties, PA.

As a Community Support Worker, you will aid with household management, ADLs, and errands; assist with appointments and supporting self-advocacy, communication, and self-expression, working toward each participant's goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience; license etc. must align with state of permanent residence.
  • Minimum two years working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism.
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience with individuals with diverse behavioral or mental health diagnoses.
  • Ability to work independently in home/community settings.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist participants with household management, ADLs, and errands.
  • Support attendance at appointments and self-advocacy, communication and self-expression.
  • Help participants work toward their goals and outcomes and provide other support as needed.
