Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Social Services Assistant to support the social services department operations. You will greet and assist visitors, oversee volunteers, and coordinate pantry and diaper program distributions while aiding various corps initiatives.

This role requires a high school diploma, a California driver’s license, and the ability to collect data for statistics. ServSafe certification is provided within two weeks of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CA Driver's license is required.
• Experience in data entry is preferred.
• ServSafe certificate within first fourteen days of employment (company provided).

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist clients visiting.
• Oversee volunteers.
• Organize catering and refreshment needs for meetings.
• Assist with Corps programs.
• Drive to pick up donations.
• Coordinate the food pantry distribution.
• Coordinate the diaper program distribution.
• Collect data for statistics.
• Assist the unhoused clients with their mail.
• Assist with the dinner program.
• Other related duties as required.
