Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division International Falls 360 Life Center in International Falls, MN is seeking a part-time Social Services Assistant and Maintenance Custodian to perform cleaning, basic maintenance, groundskeeping, and assist program participants.

Responsibilities include responding to information requests, assisting with paperwork, transporting donations, and supporting with the food shelf and rental assistance, plus driving the agency vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years custodial experience preferred.
• Background checks required and a valid driver’s license needed.
• Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, and basic maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Custodial duties: maintain a clean, sanitary environment throughout the building.
• Respond to information requests and direct calls appropriately.
• Assist program participants with paperwork and information about resources.
• Provide administrative support to program operations.
• Load, unload, and drive for food and donation deliveries.
• Support Social Services programs including food shelf and rental assistance.
• Assist with special events, such as the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Perform minor repairs to maintain safety within training guidelines.
• Maintain building grounds and winter sidewalk clearance.
