Job summary

NRDC’s Environment, Equity & Justice Center seeks a graduate intern to support community science projects. The role reports to the Director, Community Science and is based in NRDC’s US offices, with onsite work three days weekly.

Responsibilities include data gathering, analyses, visualizations, and communicating scientific concepts to public audiences. The intern will help create maps, policy analyses and presentations for community partners.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Research and/or data analysis skills.
• Initiative, proactiveness, and creativity.
• Interest in environmental justice.

Responsibilities

• Data gathering, analysis, visualization and communication of scientific concepts to public audiences.
• Help produce data visualizations, maps, policy analyses and/or presentations for community partners.
• Projects will be shaped by NRDC’s environmental justice partners and their support needs.
