Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a field-based outreach and sales professional in North Carolina to expand market penetration for Medicaid and related health plans. You will engage communities, build relationships with organizations, and guide members to access services while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field and 2+ years in marketing/sales or community outreach, preferably in managed care. Travel and driver’s license are required.

  • 2+ years of marketing, sales or community relations/outreach experience, preferably in managed care or Medicaid.

Responsibilities

  • Attend community events, health fairs and other sites to market products.
  • Develop relationships with community contacts and organizations for outreach.
  • Assist members in accessing health care, transportation and related services.
  • Follow marketing guidelines and provide enrollees with materials and documentation.
  • Research and monitor competitive products and marketing practices.
  • Submit reports on territory operations and market conditions.
  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with community-based organizations, DSS offices, health departments, enrollment broker, schools, and other stakeholders.
  • Support member education, outreach, enrollment, retention, Medicaid recertification and HR1-related renewal efforts.
  • Plan and participate in NC Medicaid mandated community education and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Medicare, Ambetter, providers and schools to boost awareness and enterprise growth.
  • Support sponsorships and innovative community engagement to enhance member experience.
  • Maintain budget discipline, document events, and ensure branding compliance.

Job description

Position Purpose: Provide sales coverage and develop best possible market penetration for all lines of business to present to prospective members in assigned territory in accordance with company's policies and programs. Provide greater access to health insurance, by providing education, assistance and coordinating community outreach to individuals.

Key Details: Candidates must reside in North Carolina within Lumberton county or surrounding counties.

  • Attend various community events, including health fairs, HEDIS initiatives and Member Advisory Groups and other sites as designated to market products
  • Identify and develop relationships with new community contacts and organizations to pursue outreach engagements
  • Assist members in accessing health care, transportation needs and other services or issues as they occur and pertain to members
  • Keep informed and adhere to current information pertaining to marketing activity guidelines set forth by various regulatory agencies, including providing enrollees with all corresponding materials and documentation
  • Research and monitor competitive products and marketing practices
  • Submit special reports regarding the operation of the territory, acceptance or rejection of products, and competitive conditions beneficial to other Marketing initiatives
  • Ability to lift boxes containing marketing materials for events
  • Ability to travel
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with community-based organizations, DSS offices, local health departments, the Enrollment Broker, school systems, and other key community stakeholders to strengthen Carolina Complete Health's regional presence and fulfill contractual community engagement commitments
  • Support member education, outreach, enrollment, retention, Medicaid recertification, and HR1-related renewal efforts to help members understand and maintain their healthcare coverage.
  • Plan, coordinating, and participating in community-based education and outreach activities required under the NC Medicaid contract, including health fairs, community events, awareness campaigns, educational presentations, and Department-requested collaborative events.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Medicare, Ambetter, providers, local agencies, schools, and community organizations to increase awareness of Carolina Complete Health and support enterprise growth, retention, and member engagement objectives.
  • Support innovative community engagement strategies and sponsorship initiatives that create meaningful member experiences, increase brand recognition, and strengthen Carolina Complete Health's presence in priority communities.
  • Maintain operational excellence through responsible budget management, event documentation, reporting, compliance with requirements, and adherence to approved branding and outreach standards.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree marketing, sales, related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of marketing, sales or community relations or outreach experience, preferably in a managed care or Medicaid environment.

Licenses/Certifications: State Driver’s License.

Pay Range: $56,200.00 - $101,000.00 per year
