Responsibilities

  • Highlight TowneBank Foundation grant stories from North Carolina.
  • Manage North Carolina volunteering events and CRA-eligible opportunities.
  • Add North Carolina opportunities to the TowneConnect Going to Towne page.
  • Input sponsorship data from Kadince regarding details/history.
  • Coordinate local organization representation and sponsorship fulfillment with regional staff.
  • Manage bi-annual TowneToday story lists and regional feedback.
  • Identify, coordinate, and write stories for TowneToday as needed.
  • Maintain a calendar of sponsorships and volunteer activities for content.

Description
Primary Purpose:

With the company's growing presence across markets and states, the Community Relations Manager for North Carolina markets is responsible for representing TowneBank as an ambassador for community partnerships and sponsorships, as well as creating content and serving as a press liaison to share the TowneBank story.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.
Essential Responsibilities:
Community Relations
  • Serves as TowneBank representative to optimize corporate sponsorship opportunities and larger regional community partnerships across North Carolina. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ad fulfillment, logo use, coordinating remarks, leadership representation, and related requests.
  • Communicates to the marketing team on community activities across the state, looking for opportunities to share on social media, website, newsletter, press releases, and TowneConnect.
  • Works with the Community and Public Relations Director to share community impact stories from TowneBank Foundation grant recipients in North Carolina.
  • Manages North Carolina Going to Towne volunteer activities, ensuring the inclusion of measurable CRA-eligible opportunities.
  • Coordinates promotion and response collection for company-sponsored volunteer events across North Carolina, including Holiday Giving, Day of Caring, and other ongoing, routine, and special sponsorships.
  • Adds North Carolina opportunities to the TowneConnect Going to Towne page with the support of the Community and Public Relations Director.
  • Inputs and pulls information from Kadince regarding sponsorship details and history.
  • Serves as TowneBank representative for local organizations promoting corporate stewardship.
  • Corresponds with regional executives and support staff on sponsorship fulfillment to ensure consistency.
  • Manages and tracks suggestions from Regional Presidents and others, as well as final story lists for each bi-annual TowneToday edition.
  • Identifies, coordinates, and writes stories for TowneToday, as needed.
  • Provides support to the community and media relations areas by maintaining a calendar of sponsorships and volunteer activities as potential content for social and earned media.
  • Assists in the development and coordination of press releases, particularly related to career announcements.
  • Manages annual calendar to nominate companies and candidates from the Towne family of companies for local, regional, and statewide recognition.
  • Works with multi-media professionals to determine media needs related to the company's community efforts, including photo opportunities and video recording requests.
  • Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Physical Requirements:
  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
