The Weld County District Attorney's Office seeks a Community Relations Specialist to manage community contacts and serve as a liaison with the public and media in a management role. Responsibilities include prevention programming, community involvement, media communications, and website administration.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in journalism or related field, strong communication skills, and experience with Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar field preferred.
• Ability to write concisely and speak in public.
• Organizational and time management skills vital.
• Experience with Adobe Suite and Microsoft programs preferred.
• Video production experience preferred.
• Understanding of the criminal justice process preferred.
• Overtime eligible; informed of Equal Pay Act.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and maintain community contacts for the DA's Office.
• Serve as liaison with public and media; handle requests and press material.
• Develop and provide trainings on prevention topics.
• Pursue community involvement opportunities and service projects.
• Manage website content; post press releases and case summaries.
• Coordinate trainings for law enforcement and participate in PIO groups.
