Job summary

Air Combat Command at Fort Eustis, VA, is seeking a Recreation Assistant (Community Programs) to support the Community Recreation Center. The role guarantees 35 hours per week and may require holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.

You will assist in running programs, supervising facilities, and serving military families and other community groups. You will help plan classes and events, promote activities, setup rooms, and greet users.

Qualifications

• Education substitution not allowed for this position.
• Foreign education may be used to meet requirements with proof of equivalence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities for families and groups.
• Lead leisure activities during deployment, special conditions, and for events.
• Set up rooms for meetings and decorate for holidays and program themes.
• Greet facility users, conduct facility tours, and collect fees while protecting funds.
• Work with staff, volunteers and contractors; perform other duties as required.
