Job summary

Southgate Recreation and Park District is looking for a qualified recreation professional to plan, organize, promote and direct adult and youth programs within the district. You will manage staff, schedules, facilities, and budgets to deliver engaging community activities.

The role requires a four-year degree in recreation or related field, two years of professional experience, and First-Aid/CPR certification.

• Four-year degree in Recreation or related field.
• Two years of professional recreation experience.
• First-Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule and conduct a variety of recreational programs and events.
• Train and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Prepare and manage budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Market programs and facilities through flyers, brochures and publications.
• Ensure safety and maintain facilities and equipment.
