All full-time radiologists are integrated into an academic environment with access to DHMC resources and a supportive network. Mammography optional but available as part of routine work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cover a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies including ultrasounds, CT, MRIs, and X-rays.
• Participate in at least one multidisciplinary team meeting locally and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Engage in patient consultations to discuss imaging results and address staff concerns.

Lake Winnipesaukee Resort Town - Generalist Radiologist Position- Dartmouth Health

Dartmouth Health's Department of Radiology is seeking a full-time, on-site community practice (generalist) radiologist to join our Regional Radiology Division in the beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee region of New Hampshire. Lake Winnipesaukee is New Hampshire's largest lake, located at the foothills of the White Mountains, well known for its clear waters and it's 4-season resort towns and vacation lifestyle. This radiology position allows for full immersion into the amazing community centered on summer boating, fall leaf-peeping, winter skiing, and beautiful spring time hikes.

This position is part of our Regional Radiology Section which is focused on delivering the full range of efficient, productive, and cutting-edge clinical care to small and medium sized community hospitals which are part of our growing network. This section is part of the broader Dartmouth Health Radiology Department, therefore this position is both deeply local and part of a tight-knit community, while also part of a broader enterprise that can provide support and connection to other radiologists. This site is approximately 2 hours from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and no travel to the main site is required. DHMC serves as the systems central hub and Academic Medical Center; all department members have access to DHMC resources and are connected to a talented pool of other generalist and subspecialist radiologists.

All full-time radiologists at Dartmouth Health are appointed as instructors, Assistant, Associate, or full Professors at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Faculty have access to the full academic and cultural resources of the health system, Dartmouth College, and the Geisel School of Medicine. We place a great emphasis on providing opportunities for professional growth, as desired, though academic interests and pursuits are not required in this role.

Position Summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a full-time community practice (generalist) radiologist to join our Regional Radiology Division serving in the beautiful Lake Winnipesauke region. The regional radiology radiologist at this site covers a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, including ultrasounds, CT, MRIs, and X-rays. Of note, we are open to discussing opportunities for individuals who no longer read mammography, though mammography is part of the routine work at this site. This role may also perform occasional minor procedures, though we are open to discussing the role with candidates who no longer do such procedures. This radiologist will participate in at least one multidisciplinary team meeting locally, and will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, engages in patient consultations to discuss imaging results, and overall address concerns from local staff. We are a truly integral part of the care provided to patients in this beautiful resort-oriented area of the country!

While this role is geographically remote from the main hub, all regional radiology section members fully participate in all of the positive benefits of being part of a larger system. System-wide protocols, templates, and policies are all shared between all sites so as a network we learn from each other and share best practices. All radiologists in the department participate in peer learning conferences and our quality initiatives. All department members are enthusiastically invited to participate in graduation, holiday celebrations, and our welcome events.

Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program; the regional radiologist serving in this role will have overall fairly limited engagement with these residents, though opportunities for providing education exist, mostly as driven by personal interest.
