Job summary

The Prairie Ridge Prevention Specialist I will plan, coordinate, and deliver evidence-based substance use prevention programs and community engagement activities across Prairie Ridge's eight-county service area. You will build partnerships with schools, businesses, and organizations while implementing grant-funded prevention initiatives with fidelity.

Responsibilities include documentation, supporting coalitions, and delivering education and outreach to promote healthy communities in alignment

Qualifications

  • Experience in prevention program implementation.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Understanding of grant process and expectations.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Treat all individuals with dignity and respect while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide prevention programs, policy reviews and activities as outlined in grants.
  • Maintain accurate records, daily time logs, mileage and expenses.
  • Complete required agency and grant documentation on time.
  • Prepare Evidence Based Programs and deliver with fidelity.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with community members and schools.
  • Coordinate meetings and tasks weekly to meet direct service requirements.
  • Travel by car within the eight-county service area to provide information.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science
