Job summary

WaFd Bank is hiring a Personal Banker in California. The role focuses on building client relationships, opening new accounts, originating loans, and providing banking solutions to individuals and businesses. You will help strengthen the community’s financial health while adhering to regulations and WaFd’s core values.

You should bring strong math, communication, and digital skills, plus a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

High school diploma or approved equivalent.
Good math skills, 10-key and keyboarding.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI and Outlook.
Well-developed smartphone and digital channel skills.
Excellent organizational and written and oral communication.
Ability to teach clients self-service using automated technology.
Must have valid driver’s license, transportation and adequate insurance.

Responsibilities

Build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions.
Open new accounts, onboard new relationships, originate loans and lines, refer to partners.
Make out-of-office business development calls to businesses and organizations.
Adhere to bank policies and federal regulations.
