JOB SUMMARY

The Community Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for developing, cultivating, and managing strategic relationships with community organizations, schools, businesses, civic leaders, faith-based organizations, and other stakeholders to advance the mission and impact of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains (GSTOP) within an assigned geographic area. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position identifies partnership opportunities that expand access to Girl Scout programming, strengthen community engagement, support membership growth, and increase awareness of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

The Community Partnerships Coordinator works collaboratively with Mission Delivery, Membership, Volunteer Engagement, and Regional teams to develop and implement community-based initiatives, outreach efforts, and program opportunities that support positive outcomes for girls. Through partnership development, community outreach, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement, this position helps connect girls and families to meaningful Girl Scout experiences while strengthening the Council's presence within the community.

The Community Partnerships Coordinator exercises independent judgment and discretion in identifying, developing, and managing community partnerships, engagement opportunities, and outreach initiatives that advance Council priorities. This position evaluates community needs, recommends partnership strategies, cultivates stakeholder relationships, and collaborates with the Regional Manager and cross-functional teams on matters impacting community engagement, membership growth, partnership development, and mission delivery outcomes.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Partnerships & Relationship Management

  1. Cultivates relationships with community leaders, schools, organizations, businesses, faith-based institutions, and other stakeholders to advance the mission of Girl Scouts and increase community engagement.
  2. Develops and maintains community partnerships and collaborative relationships that support membership growth, volunteer engagement, and access to Girl Scout programs.
  3. Engages with community organizations, agencies, educators, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and increased community impact.
  4. Represents GSTOP in the community and serves as a relationship-building resource to strengthen organizational visibility and partnerships.
  5. Maintains professional and positive relationships with members, volunteers, community partners, staff, and stakeholders.

Program Implementation & Delivery

  1. Implements programs in accordance with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience delivery model to meet the needs of girls, particularly in underserved communities.
  2. Plans, coordinates, and facilitates troop meetings, field trips, ceremonies, family engagement activities, and other program experiences.
  3. Adapts programming to meet the needs of diverse groups of girls and ensures experiences remain inclusive, accessible, and engaging.
  4. Implements grant-funded programs and ensures compliance with funding requirements and program expectations.

Strategic Planning, Evaluation & Reporting

  1. Prepares action plans and supports the development and implementation of outcome measures for outreach and partnership initiatives.
  2. Evaluates community needs, program effectiveness, and partnership opportunities and recommends strategies that support organizational goals.
  3. Maintains accurate records and ensures timely data entry and reporting within Salesforce and other Council systems.
  4. Utilizes technology and reporting tools to monitor activities, measure outcomes, and support data-informed decision-making.
  5. Stays informed of emerging trends, laws, regulations, and best practices related to youth programming, community engagement, and partnership development.
  6. Performs other duties and supports special projects as assigned by the Regional Manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS - - Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  1. Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  2. Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
  3. Enjoys working with girls of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
  4. Commitment to the mission and purpose of Girl Scouting.
  5. Membership in the Girl Scout organization.
  6. Must be willing to work with all people without regard to race, religion, ethnic origin, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
  7. Experience in planning, scheduling, and implementing programs for youth and experience with volunteer management, program evaluation/outcome measures and or community organizing.
  8. Proven ability to work with volunteers, community leaders, organizations, and businesses.
  9. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce results.
  10. Ability to work a flexible schedule including travel, nights, and weekends.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  12. Verbal fluency, good grammar, and professional appearance.
  13. Have and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, acceptable insurance, and reliable transportation.
  14. Must complete and pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle records check and drug screening.
