As aCPS Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of high-qualitysupports, supervise and develop Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and help ensure individuals achieve the goals outlined in theirSupport Plans. This role combines leadership, coaching, service coordination, and direct engagement with individuals and their support teams to create opportunities for growth, inclusion, and community participation.
Because CPS services are delivered where individuals live, learn, work, and engage in their communities, this is a highly mobile and community-based leadership position in .Theservice area includes Schuylkill, Monroe, and Carbon counties, and the supervisor will regularly travel throughout the region to support staff, oversee services, and build relationships with individuals and community partners. The position may be based out of our Bethlehem or Orwigsburg office, with a combination of community-based work, office work, and flexibility to support the needs of the program.
The selected candidate must meet all qualifying and ongoing job criteria including background checks, physical examination, and a driving history record.
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in the following preferred field is highly desirable: education, special education, psychology, counseling, gerontology, social work, or therapeutic recreation.
ANADD, RBT, CNA, or BCBA certification is preferred if bachelor’s degree preference is not met.
Two years of supervisory experience in social services highly preferred.
Work in program sites and the community routinely providing direct care and/or support with individual(s). Stand, sit, bend, or run by self, or to provide proper care and supervision with an individual. Able to move and stay with an individual to keep them safe, both in home environment and community, both at near and far distances, even when an individual may struggle to meet identified expectations. Able to assist an individual who has fallen, regardless of weight or size. Walk, climb stairs by self, or provide direct care and/or support. Working a standard office environment. Utilize desktop computer equipment on a daily basis. Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.) Travel to offsite locations and regional office locations if necessary.
This hourly rate starts at $22/hour, with increases based on education and experience. The schedule is Monday-Friday during regular business hours, with flexibility to meet program needs
