Job summary

The Center for Youth and Family Solutions (CYFS) is seeking compassionate individuals to support children and families, addressing needs and promoting stability and permanency. You will build relationships, use trauma-responsive methods, and work closely with clients to set strength-based goals.

The role involves visiting families in homes and communities, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and adapting to flexible schedules to meet the needs of youth and families served.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Service, or related field required.
• Completion of DCFS background check and fingerprinting mentioned in the ad.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have an insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop a supportive relationship with clients and assist children and families in addressing needs and meeting goals.
• Support crisis-affected families using trauma-responsive, family-centered approaches.
• Collaborate with clients to develop strength-based goals and engage with families in various settings.
• Visit clients in homes and communities to support their goals and permanency outcomes.

Starting at $52,425.99 (non-exempt)

About the Position:

Develop a supportive relationship with clients and assist children and families in addressing needs and meeting goals with the overall objective of achieving solutions that promote stability and permanency.

A Typical Day as a Community Outreach Worker:

• Support children, teens, adults, and families that are experiencing crisis
• Offer families a variety of tools to help in their success by using a trauma-responsive and family-centered approach
• Collaborate with clients to develop strength's based goals
• Engage with families and clients by visiting them in a variety of settings to support their goals

Location:

123 S. McArthur St. Macomb, IL, with willingness to travel and spend several hours in the field visiting client's homes, communities, and attending court. This office provides services to the following counties: Hancock, McDonough, and Fulton

Work Hours:

Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served

Additional Qualifications:

• Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Obtain an insured vehicle
• At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
